Your role as Supply Chain Manager Complex Products
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for organizing and leading the Supply Chain department, including Customer Service, Production Control, Sorting & Packing, Expedition, and Logistics. The focus is ensuring departmental goals are met by establishing and overseeing strategies and policies. This role aims to balance customer satisfaction with internal efficiency, ensuring optimal performance in key areas like on-time delivery and inventory management.
Your responsibilities include collaborating with the management team to develop company-wide policies and defining, implementing, and following up on strategies for supply chain functions.
You will lead a team of 10 direct reports and around 60 indirect reports, focusing on their development, motivation, and performance management. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will drive initiatives to enhance the organization, as well as processes, methods, and systems within the department. In addition, you will provide valuable insights on market trends, customer demands, and supplier relationships, and contribute to strategic business projects.
Furthermore, you will ensure accurate reporting of performance metrics, communicate key updates to your team, and ensure smooth execution of critical projects related to customer service, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
Your leadership will be crucial in creating a balance between internal operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, ensuring that the department consistently meets or exceeds its goals.
In this position, you will also work with the team at our location in Schrozberg, Germany, requiring occasional on-site presence (less than once a month). You report directly to the Helmond Plant Manager and work closely with the Global Supply Chain Director.
The primary activities of the Supply Chain department are:

Managing the Order-to-Cash process.

Planning incoming goods, production and logistics.

Executing and organizing physical logistics movements with regard to (internal) transport, storage, and preparation for shipment.

Storage of raw materials, purchased products, work in progress and finished products.

Calculating/preparing customer offers and account management of specific customers.
Your profile
As a Supply Chain Manager, strong leadership is essential, requiring you to adapt your approach to different team members and situations to achieve departmental goals. Effective planning and organization are key, ensuring that priorities are clear and resources are allocated efficiently. With your in-depth supply chain expertise, you are able to support and lead your team effectively.
You must be decisive, able to make quick, informed decisions, and communicate clearly with your team and stakeholders. Strong persuasive skills will help you gain support for your initiatives, and taking initiative is crucial in driving continuous improvements. Finally, a focus on results is vital, ensuring goals are met and swift action is taken when needed to address any shortfalls.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of thinking and working, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Technical Business Administration. A master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Advanced knowledge of supply chain processes, including order-to-cash, production, and logistics.

Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Project management experience.

Adequate IT understanding (e.g. Microsoft Office, ERP).

Fluency in Dutch, English and German (speaking and listening).
