NPI Engineer

Your role as NPI Engineer
As our NPI Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our NPI department, playing a crucial role in creating new products. As an NPI Engineer you will work in a diverse team of Engineers, Quality Engineers and buyers within the APQP environment. Together you translate customer requirements into a feasible Nedschroef product. Your work starts from the moment a customer order starts until the product and process are fully developed and hand over to production.
For this role we are looking for someone willing to learn the ins and outs of the cold forging of metal parts. Therefore we also encourage recent graduates to apply for the role. Your responsibilities and compensation will match the level of experience you bring and will expand accordingly.
Other responsibilities:

Translate customer drawings and standards into internal production drawings and guidelines;

Design and develop tool sets for the cold forming process and if needed finishing operations; mechanical engineering;

Quality assurance by using tools like FMEA, Control plan, MSA;

Optimalization of the cold forming process;

Develop and hand over of a feasible product and production process;

Depending on experience and interest the responsibilities can be extended to include: Feasibility studies and calculation of new requests, Project leadership for cross-departmental projects
Your profile
You recognize yourself in the following profile:

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or compared built knowledge by experience;

At least 5 years of experience in a technical position;

Already having knowledge of the cold forging process is a big plus;

Strong personality with hands-on mentality;

Experience in working with measuring systems/equipment is preferred;

Living within a commute distance from Helmond;

Ability to work from home, during the period of education this will be minimal;

Preferably having worked with CAD Solidworks or a comparable design software and/or willingness to learn CAD.
