Your role as Manager Supply & Inventory
The Manager of Supply & Inventory is responsible for overseeing and guiding the team and processes at Nedschroef Fasteners, directing all post-heat treatment activities for the automotive product lines. Key responsibilities include managing product supply from both internal and external sources, as well as overseeing the extended workbench for post-heat treatment, both internally and externally.
The primary goal is to achieve an optimal balance between high service levels for our customers and low operational and inventory costs. In collaboration with the Director S&L, Director Supply Chain, Manager Customer Service, and the local CoC teams, this person will lead the team that supports and executes the global and local Supply Chain Management strategy. This will be achieved with a strong focus on process optimization, lead time reduction, standardization, and cost reductions, all while respecting customer requirements.
In addition to the functional responsibilities, there are also leadership responsibilities, which include leading the teams of internal and external part supply, and internal and external workbench planning, as well as supporting the Director Supply Chain in overall process improvement and cost reduction programs and strategic projects.
You will build the team that will consist of about 15 employees, focusing on their development, motivation, and performance management. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you encourage initiatives to improve the organization and processes, methods, and systems within the department. This team will consist of employees based in at least three different locations: Helmond, Fraulautern, Plettenberg, and Altena.
In this role, you will have six months to build the team, during which time you will be expected to be present at the sites more frequently. After this period, hybrid working is possible to a greater extent.
The Manager Supply and Inventory will be in close contact with the Manager Demand and Supply Excellence on the mid- and long-term forecast, with the Customer Service team on short-term demand, and will adjust, secure, and optimize the supply to our end customers.
Your responsibilities include:

Being accountable for placing call-offs at internal and external suppliers (pull area) via the daily MRP.

Being accountable to provide a rolling purchase forecast to the internal and external suppliers.

Being responsible for periodic (monthly or ultimately quarterly) update of all supply chain parameters and internal S&L safety stocks, S&L leadtimes and re-orderpoint, supported by the central analyst inventory parameters.

Being accountable for (gross) production planning in the pull area of the S&L organization.

Being responsible and accountable for the availability of the products and in this role to be supporting the customer service teams in case of escalations at our customers.
Your profile
As a Manager Supply & Inventory, strong leadership is essential, requiring you to adapt your approach to different team members and situations to achieve departmental goals.
You must be decisive and communicate clearly with your team and stakeholders. Strong persuasive skills will help you gain support for your initiatives, and taking initiative is crucial in driving continuous improvements.
In addition, you have:

A relevant bachelor’s degree, or comparable knowledge built by experience. A master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Advanced knowledge of supply chain and Internal S&L Safety Stocks, S&L Leadtimes and Reorderpoint, supported by the central Analyst Inventory Parameters.

Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Adequate IT understanding (e.g. Microsoft Office, ERP).

Fluent in English. Dutch and German are a big plus (both spoken and written).
