Your role as Security Operations Officer

As our Security Operations Officer, you are an essential part of the team. You play a crucial role in defending against cybersecurity incidents and ensuring the security of our IT systems across all Nedschroef locations worldwide. Occasionally, travel to one of our sites may be required.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and refining cybersecurity response capabilities and plans.
  • Defining and maintaining security event logging, audit trail correlation, fraud prevention, and implementation of monitoring agents.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external partners (such as managed service providers) to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Providing awareness and guidance on security-related topics within the company.

Your profile

You recognize yourself in the following profile and qualifications:

  • Strong technical IT background with a focus on cybersecurity and incident response.
  • Strong technical IT background with a focus on cybersecurity and incident response.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle incidents calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with IT security frameworks (such as ISO27001, COBIT, NIST) is a plus.
  • Team player who can work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Motivated to continuously learn and develop within the field of cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience (preferably in IT or Cybersecurity).
  • Possession of certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). If you do not yet hold these certifications, Nedschroef offers the opportunity to obtain them.
  • Experience in information security, particularly within a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC), or a Security Operations Center (SOC) is a plus.
  • Experience with compliance and information security frameworks (such as ISO27000, COBIT, NIST etc.) is a plus.
  • Technical experience, for example as a Microsoft Active Directory administrator and/or Microsoft cloud administrator, is a plus.
  • Experience with Operational Technology is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create and improve documentation for audit purposes.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (German or Dutch is a plus).
